About me

Agis received his PhD in History and International Relations at UCL’s Institute of the Americas. He specialises in the history, politics, and ethical dimensions of superpower competition, with a focus on great power interventionism and the role of teleological narratives in foreign policy. Agis has previously taught courses on global politics, Asian geopolitics, and political philosophy at UCL, while at LSE he has taught American Foreign Policy, Historical Approaches to the Modern World, the Cold War, and Crisis and Decision-Making in War and Peace. A graduate of Harvard University and the University of Melbourne, Agis also holds LSE’s Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and FHEA status. He currently works as an analyst of foreign affairs at the Presidency of the Hellenic Government, and is a frequent commentator on international politics at Athens Voice Publishing.
