Are you interested in the annual algorithmic event ‘Spotify Wrapped’, and do you want to learn more about the ways your music taste is datafied? Then take part in a fun two-hour workshop. Together with other Spotify users, you will learn to explore ‘Wrapped’ in a creative and critical way.

During the workshop, you will discuss your experience of your own ‘Spotify Wrapped’ data with the other participants. There will also be creative exercises as we produce our ‘Wrapped’ selves using material objects such as CDs, vinyls, glitter, magazines and any printed material related to our Spotify data. The workshop will be followed by a light lunch.

You will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the ways we can interrogate, navigate and potentially resist the data-driven tactics of streaming services like Spotify.

If you want to find out more about what the worskhop will involve, watch a short video about it here.
