Rautio Piano Trio

Hosted by the LSE Lunchtime Concert Series

In-person event (Shaw Library, 6th floor, Old Building)

Since releasing their debut album of Mozart Trios in 2016, the Rautio Trio (@rautiopianotrio) has emerged as one of today’s finest chamber ensembles known for their refined and powerfully expressive performances. With a passion for performing 18th and 19th century repertoire on both modern and period instruments, they have developed a fresh and engaging approach to their interpretations of historical masterworks.

The Trio, comprised of Jane Gordon (violin) Victoria Simonsen (cello) Jan Rautio (piano), has released three critically acclaimed albums with Resonus Classics and are frequently heard on BBC Radio 3. They have performed at the Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, South Bank, Bridgewater Hall, throughout the UK and in France, Austria and Germany.

Performance to include:

Piano trio in F minor op 65 - Dvorak

The next lunchtime concert is on Thursday 27 November and will be performed by Andrzej Wierciński (piano).

Join the LSE Choir and Orchestra on Tuesday 9 December for the LSE Christmas Concert in the beautiful surroundings of St Clement Danes Church.
