Could it all happen again? Professor White will argue that imagining a new regional order to fit the fast-changing realities in Asia will make war less likely.

Hugh White is Professor of Strategic Studies at the Australian National University and author of The China Choice.

Robin Archer is the Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Political Sociology at LSE.
