Call for proposals for LSE / Anthropic symposium discussing economic futures

The economic questions raised by AI are both urgent and complex. Policymakers and industry leaders need a rigorous view of what is actually happening as AI adoption continues to expand across global labour markets and workplaces.
London Economic Futures Symposium | November 2025
As part of Anthropic’s Economic Futures Program, LSE is collaborating with them on a half day symposium to examine artificial intelligence’s profound impact on economic futures. Co-hosted by the LSE Data Science Institute and Anthropic, the event will bring together policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to explore the economic implications of AI and its role in shaping workforce dynamics, economic growth and productivity.
Participants at the November symposium will discuss key policy and research priorities in order to help define the challenges and opportunities of the AI-enabled economy and identify ways to prepare for this shift.
Call for proposals
We are currently seeking data-driven research and policy proposals that investigate AI's impact on labour markets, productivity, and economic structures. We are looking for ideas that can help societies navigate AI’s economic transformation and could be implemented within the next 18 months. Selected submissions will be invited to present at LSE during the November symposium.
