The major Dutch broadsheet, de Volkskrant, recently popped over to London to interview Margot on international law and capitalism for a Saturday special series. During the extended interview, Margot explained the ways in which international law entrenches commodification and exploitation and the routes through which dominant interests are given primacy. After warning that alternatives to transnational accumulation are too easily dismissed, Margot closes the interview with bottom up solutions that secure economic democracy, centre local communities and their knowledge, and challenge legalized systems of oppression. Also recently interviewed as part of this series are the Marxist philosopher Kohei Saito and Martin Wolf of the Financial Times.
