About me

I’m in the first year of my PhD in Human Geography and Urban Studies. My academic background is in Geography, and my Masters was in Urbanisation and Development at LSE. My specific interest is in Mozambique where I have been visiting for over eight years, and been fortunate to develop and pursue academic interests in contemporary house-building, urbanisation and its aesthetics, and the social and architectural legacies of slavery, postcolonialism and conflict in the country.

In the non-academic world, I have over five years’ experience in the UK Civil Service and have worked on issues from UK-EU trade negotiations, transport crisis response, and environmental policy across different departments.
