In this session, you'll have the chance to meet alumni who work in the banking or financial sectors. You can ask the alumni about their day-to-day job, how they got into their role, and for any other career-related advice or tips they’ve picked up from their career journey so far. 

 This event will be particularly useful if you are:

  • thinking about the realities of a career in this area or a related sector
  • curious about the sort of work and responsibilities jobs in this area can entail
  • interested in finding out how utilising the experience of studying at LSE can be used to get ahead in this area
  • keen to build your connections

Meet the Speakers:

Juan Comella (LinkedIn) attended the General Course programme in 2017-18. After graduating from Bentley University with a degree in Economics and Finance, Juan returned to London to work in Fintech. After experiences in the lending and payment services Fintech space, Juan joined Citibank in 2023. Juan has been a CFA charter holder since May 2023.

Martina Garabedian (LinkedIn) is an analyst at Citi Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS). Her focus features liquidity and market management. Currently, Martina is supporting the definition and execution of a client-centric ESG strategy across TTS. Martina has graduated from Babson College ‘22, USA, with summa cum laude achieving a full scholarship for the duration of her studies. She is an LSE General Course ‘21 alumna, who studied Accounting and Finance. In her free time, Martina enjoys painting with watercolors, skiing, and making videos.

Anusha Agarwal (LinkedIn) graduated from Georgetown University in 2021 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics, having spent a year on the General Course in 2019-20. She returned to London for a graduate role at BNP Paribas in Global Markets, and now works in Debt Capital Markets at BNP Paribas where she focuses on Capital Products structuring (Hybrids) and FIG DCM ESG.
