What time do I need to arrive and where does the campus tour start?
We advise that you arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled 1.30pm tour departure time. Please refer to the information in your booking confirmation email for details of where the tour will begin.
Holborn and Temple underground stations are a five to ten minute walk away from LSE. Use our maps of LSE and directions to the campus to find your way to us.
We are unable to wait for late arrivals. If you arrive after the tour has departed, you are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the external public spaces and streets around LSE’s campus using the LSExplorer but you will not be permitted internal access to LSE buildings.
Can I bring guests with me?
When booking a place you will be given the opportunity to book a place for one guest to accompany you. We cannot accommodate any additional guests.
Can I visit academic departments or speak to academic staff during my visit?
Tours do not include visits to individual academic departments, nor are we able to arrange appointments with academic members of staff. The member of Student Marketing and Recruitment staff delivering the introductory presentation would be happy to assist with any general queries you may have concerning studying at the School.
Does the tour include student accommodation?
Visits to LSE’s halls of residence are not included in our guided campus tours. To find out about accommodation options at LSE, please visit our Residential Services webpage.
If there is a particular residence you would like to visit, you are advised to email their reception team in advance to determine whether they would be able to offer you a virtual tour on your chosen date. Contact details for the reception teams can be found on individual residence webpages.
I can’t visit on any of the listed dates. Can you arrange a guided tour for me at another time?
We can only offer guided tours on the dates listed. Outside of these times, you are welcome to visit LSE and take a self-guided tour using our LSExplorer. This self-guided tour has been designed to allow you to explore and discover LSE’s compact campus at your leisure. In light of COVID-19 restrictions, it leads you around the streets and external public spaces that surround our buildings. To maximise social distancing on campus and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and students, it isn’t currently possible for visitors to enter our buildings. Please accept our apologies for any disappointment this might cause.
Alternatively, there are several opportunities to experience LSE from home, including our Virtual Undergraduate Open Day, Virtual Graduate Open Events, Discovery Sessions, webinars and videos.
Can I store my luggage?
We do not have storage facilities at LSE so you will be required to keep personal belongings with you at all times. Consequently, we would ask that you avoid bringing luggage with you. Mainline stations, such as London King’s Cross and London Waterloo, often offer paid for left luggage facilities.
Are there any COVID-19 requirements I need to comply with in order to attend?
Following the latest UK government announcement on COVID restrictions in England, we will not be asking for evidence of a recent negative COVID test, nor will face coverings be mandatory from 1 April.
The UK government recommend that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded or enclosed spaces.
If you test positive or are feeling unwell, we ask that you do not attend the event. Please see the current UK government advice on staying safe and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Enhanced ventilation measures and cleaning regimes are in place on the LSE campus. Find out more about the COVID-secure measures currently in place at LSE.
Can I make a group booking?
