Discover how you can study at the world’s leading social science university with undergraduate scholarships funded by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.

Join us for an insightful and inspiring evening at our Discovery event, hosted at the newly refurbished Stelios Foundation conference hall and featuring a Zoom contribution by distinguished entrepreneur and LSE alumnus, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou. This event offers an opportunity to find out more about applying to and studying at LSE, as well as the generous undergraduate scholarships funded by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.

The event will include an opening address by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, followed by an overview of LSE and the undergraduate admissions process. You’ll also have the chance to hear from a range of former Stelios scholars, who will be providing insight into the advantages of studying in the UK, sharing reflections from their time at LSE, and providing helpful guidance to anyone hoping to follow in their footsteps.

Light refreshments will be provided before and after the main presentation.

Who should attend?

This event is for anyone interested in Undergraduate study at LSE. Study Abroad and Graduate programmes will not be covered. Prospective undergraduate students are welcome to bring one guest with them to the event.Higher education advisers, teachers, independent educational consultants, and media representatives are welcome to attend, but should contact Nathan Brennan to reserve their space.

About Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou (BSc Economic Industry & Trade ,1987) is best known as the founder of easyJet, and as the creator and owner of the easy family of brands. In 2006 Stelios received a knighthood for services to entrepreneurship.

Stelios now spends about one third of his time giving back via the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, which supports a diversified range of good causes, primarily in the UK, Greece, and Cyprus. Since 2005, the Foundation’s Stelios Scholarships have empowered 137 aspiring undergraduate students to study at LSE.

About the LSE Stelios Scholarships

The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation makes five scholarships available annually for undergraduate students from Greece and Cyprus. The scholarships provide £17,000 per year towards tuition for students studying on three-year undergraduate programmes in the subject areas of Economics, Finance, or Management.

To be considered for the scholarship, students must make a successful application to LSE and complete the Undergraduate Scholarship Application before 28 April 2023.
