Silvretta Scholarship

LSE is pleased to announce the Silvretta Scholarship due to the generosity of Daniel Weisser, an alumni of the LSE Department of Geography and Environment.

The Silvretta Scholarship will fund one undergraduate ordinarily resident in the UK, studying either the BSc Environment and Sustainable Development or BSc Environment and Sustainable Development with Economics.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees and a £11,700 maintenance stipend and is renewable for the second and third years of study, subject to academic progression.  

How to apply

Once you have an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) to attend LSE, you should submit by email to the following:

  • LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application form
  • One academic reference - this can be sent by you together with your scholarship application, or it can be sent to us separately by your referee
  • Supporting documents - this will vary dependent on the information you have provided; further guidance can be found in the scholarship application form

The deadline for the receipt of LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Applications for offer holders with Home fee status is: 1 June 2023

All scholarship application decisions will be sent by email by the end of August 2023. Please ensure that our domain name - - is added to your safe senders list and routinely check your junk/spam folders. 

By submitting your completed LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application, you will be considered for any LSE scholarships for which you are eligible.
