Academic and teaching resources

  • The LSE Library offers two types of FREE 90-minute sessions for KS 2-5 to explore and analyse primary sources. Teachers can choose to dive into the archives focusing on records of social and political history from the 19th and 20th centuries or preparation for EPQ gaining skills for topic searches, material evaluation and referencing.   • SHAPE in Schools resources and ideas to embed SHAPE (social sciences, humanities and the arts) more fully into your school or college.

Events for teachers

  • Advising the Advisers (TBC). Our free annual conference for teachers and higher education advisers, usually held on the LSE campus in June.   
  • World Class Study in London Conference (TBC). This conference gives international teachers and counsellors the opportunity to meet representatives from five of London’s world class universities: Imperial College London, King’s College London, LSE, SOAS and UCL. The most recent event took place virtually in March 2022. Listen to session recordings.
  • Advancing Access for teachers and advisers. Advancing Access provide a variety of CPD resourcesonline events and offline conferences for teachers and advisers to help them support students’ progression to leading universities.
