Woo Family Scholarship

LSE is pleased to confirm the continuing Woo Family Scholarship, which is provided by funds generated from a generous endowment donated by the Woo Family Charitable Trust.

The selected scholar will demonstrate that they are planning, after they graduate from LSE, to return to China where they will engage in, promote and set high standards for the improvement of society; and, or the environment in China. 

Eligibility

The Woo Family Scholarship is open to students who are nationals of and domiciled in China and have an offer of admission on any taught master's programme in one of the following LSE Departments: GovernmentGeography and Environment, International Relations or Sociology.

Scholarship amount

Normally this scholarship provides £25,000 towards the costs of attending an eligible programme.

How to apply

To apply for LSE funding for programmes beginning in September 2022, you must:


- Submit your application for the programme (See how to apply for graduate study at LSE) 

- Submit your Graduate Financial Support Application Form via the Graduate application tracker 

- Receive an offer of a place (conditional or unconditional)

by 9am (UK time GMT+1) on 3 May 2022.

Please complete Section G: Personal Statement of the Graduate Financial Support Application Form in order to be considered for any other LSE Scholarships for which you meet the criteria. If you only wish to be considered for the Graduate Support Scheme, you do not need to complete the personal statement.

The outcome to your Graduate Support Scheme application will be displayed on the application tracker after you have received an offer. Successful applicants selected for other LSE Scholarships or awards will be notified by email throughout May, June and July 2022.
