Statistics UK BAME Studentship

LSE and the Department of Statistics are delighted to announce the Statistics UK BAME Studentship. This forms part of the department’s ongoing commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion as we continue to find new and better ways to ensure that students from all backgrounds can benefit from our research and education environment. Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration for this award, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Hold an offer for the MPhil/PhD in Statistics
  • Have Home fee status and be domiciled in the UK
  • Be from an ethnic minority background

Scholarship amount

The Statistics UK BAME Studentship is tenable for four years and will cover tuition fees for Years 1-3 and will provide an annual stipend for Years 1-4 in line with UKRI rates, which for 2025/26 is £22,780.
