Careers Events

LSE Careers hosts an exciting events programme with opportunities to meet, network and connect with employers and alumni, and develop your professional skills for the workplace and beyond. From events regarding job applications to sector and themed events, LSE Careers offers something for everybody.

CareerHub
This is an online portal where you can book onto events and one to one appointments. You can also access materials and recordings from previous events as well as applying to current job opportunities.

Our Sector Discovery programmes showcase a selection of resources, opportunities and flagship events to help you explore your options across a particular sector. We offer confidential one-to-one discussions with our qualified careers consultant, Maria Kramer on any careers-related topic. In addition to these appointments, you can also book sessions with any career consultant. The interactive video-based courses to prepare you for interviews, covering graduate schemes, jobs, internships, and insight weeks. The courses teach you what employers are looking for in candidate responses and how to craft strong answers. As an LSE student, you can use their Interview Success course, which pairs well with practicing video interviews via Shortlist.me.

Allows practicing of interviews in a video format and receive feedback through artificial intelligence and self-reflection. There are a range of interviews to choose from, some created by Shortlist.me and some bespoke content created by LSE Careers Consultants, based on key areas of interests to LSE students.

Case interviews  

Online preparation courses for consulting applications and case interviews. The courses provide everything you need to prepare consulting applications and crack the case studies used at interviews with top consulting firms and other employers.

Psychometric test practice  

Choose from 30 practice tests covering verbal, numerical, logical reasoning, and situational judgement. You can also practice assessment centre exercises, complete a work style personality questionnaire and use the question identifier tool to prepare for interviews.

Virtual work experience   

Develop your skills and gain a real understanding of different roles and industries by working through these self-paced modules, with tasks similar to those you would undertake during a traditional internship. A great addition to your CV!

A web resource for current and prospective postgraduate students who are looking to fund master’s, PGCE, or PhD study in the UK. 

Psychometric tests- a guide for disabled and neurodivergent applicants 

A Guidance document prepared by the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) Disability Task Group 

Example adjustments and advice for disabled and neurodivergent students and graduates taking psychometric tests in the recruitment process.

LSE Careers offers a range of support to all LSE alumni including access to the careers information website. Other services include access to:

  • Careers events - opportunities to meet, network and connect with employers and alumni, explore diverse sectors and industries, and develop your professional skills for the workplace and beyond.

  • CareerSet - An online AI tool to help you craft your CV and frame cover letters.

 The level of careers related support that you are eligible for is determined based on how long ago you completed your programme. You can find out more information here.
