Research Brief Series

Exploring the intersection of climate change, the environment, and social policy.

The Sustainable Social Policy and Welfare States Research Hub at the LSE Department of Social Policy hosts a research brief series that explores the intersection of climate change, the environment, and social policy. This series features concise, policy-relevant academic reviews that explore the challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation, as well as the role of public and social policy in addressing them.

Each brief synthesises key evidence and insights on critical issues in this area, developed in the context of the Social Policy of Climate Change course taught by Dr. Liam F. Beiser-McGrath. The series offers policymakers, scholars, and practitioners access to knowledge relevant to designing more sustainable and socially just policy responses to the climate crisis.

Publications in the series will be added here soon
