About me

Ghulam Mustafa is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Derby and a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  He holds a PhD in Economics from Middlesex University, UK. Before joining the University of Derby, he gained extensive academic experience through research and teaching at several UK higher education institutions, including Queen Mary University of London and Middlesex University, as well as at leading universities in Pakistan. His research focuses on the intersections of education, inequality, and economic growth.

His current research agenda aims to examine the effects of minimum wage policies on gender inequality; spatial income inequality and economic growth; the gender dimensions of food insecurity; workplace harassment; and the influence of macroeconomic conditions on firm-level productivity.
