Good University Guide 2026: LSE Philosophy named best department in the country

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 has ranked LSE as the number one university in the UK. The Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method has been ranked as the best department in the country for Philosophy - for the second year in a row.

For the second year running, the Good University Guide has ranked LSE the top university in the UK. The Good University Guide also names LSE as University of the Year for Academic Performance; Russell Group University of the Year; University of the Year in London; and joint runner-up for University of the Year for Graduate Employment.
