About
Zach is a Fellow in Quantitative Methods in the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics. He is also affiliated with the Data Science Institute, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, and the Public Opinion Analytics Lab. He completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow.
His research is broadly situated in political behaviour, with specific interests in right-wing populism and climate politics. He's a big fan of research methods, and most of his work includes either computational or causal inference methods. He is also always looking for new sources of data to better understand social behaviour, and his past work has relied on data from social media, newspapers, governments, political parties and many others.
His research has been published in journals such as Political Communication, Comparative Political Studies, the American Political Science Review, and others. His research has also been covered in The Economist, The New Statesman, The Guardian, Forbes, and in various blogs.
