Yi Heng is a PhD Candidate in law at the LSE. He holds an LLB from the University of Liverpool and an LLM from the University of Cambridge. Prior to coming to the LSE, he completed the Bar Vocational Studies Course at City St. George's, University of London. He was previously a Judicial Intern at the High Court in Malaya.

Yi Heng's research examines the nature of exceptional and emergency powers within the constitutional orders of postcolonial states.
