About

Salvatore is a second-year PhD student in Environmental Economics specializing in industrial and climate policies. Using firm-level and patent data, he investigates how R&D policies affect firm behavior and innovation outcomes, and how climate policies foster the development of new green technologies. His research interests also include critical supply chains and the strategic dependencies associated with green technologies and critical raw materials.

Salvatore holds an MSc in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development from the University of Bologna and a BSc in International Relations from the University of Florence. Before joining LSE, he has gained practical experience through internships at the OECD, where he contributed to the International Programme for Action on Climate (IPAC), and at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, working in the Centre for Energy, Climate, and Resources.

He is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the courses GY222 (Applied Environmental Economics ) and MY472 (Data for Data Scientists).
