Research interests/areas

Her research explores the use of legal doctrinal language in the political discourse surrounding (attempted) attacks on foreign leaders (heads of state, heads of government, and ministers for foreign affairs) in an attempt to understand how legal and political considerations intertwine in this context.


Margot holds a Master in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID) and a Bachelor in International Relations from the University of Geneva. Before joining the LSE, she was a legal trainee at Transparency International Switzerland and worked as a research assistant to Professor Georges Abi-Saab. Prior to that, she was as a legal assistant to Dr Aniruddha Rajput at the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva.
