Katerina Roumbos
About
Katerina's research interests lie at the intersection of labour economics, financial markets, applied econometrics, and policy-engaged scholarship. She is a Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant at the LSE's Hellenic Observatory, working under the supervision of Professor Vassilis Monastiriotis, where she examines the relationship between AI adoption and labour market dynamics, exploring job-level AI demand and skill requirements.
Her MSc dissertation investigates how financial markets price exposure to climate policy shocks using event study methodology and causal inference techniques. Her earlier work applied difference-in-differences methods to quantify the financial impacts of cyber risk, demonstrating that markets price emerging technological risks.
With prior experience working with economic data and producing policy-relevant analysis for government stakeholders, Katerina is proficient in Python and R for econometric analysis, causal inference, and data visualisation. She is completing an MSc in Applied Social Data Science at the London School of Economics and holds a BA in Economics, Finance and Accounting from Richmond University.
