Thesis: 'Critical Social Epistemology'
My thesis is positioned at the intersection of critical theory and social epistemology. By juxtaposing analytical and critical literatures, I seek to offer an account of the ways in which collective and solidary methods of knowledge production can and do furnish us with epistemic resources and inform our collective habits of thought and action. I explore how the undue constraint of epistemic norms and resources can damage democracy, and the ways in which battling such constraints can help to renew democratic processes.
