Chiara Cavaglia is a research economist at the Centre for Economic Performance and the Centre for Vocational Education Research at the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on education, skills, and labour-market transitions, with particular emphasis on vocational education and training.
Her work uses administrative and longitudinal data and quasi-experimental methods to evaluate education and skills policies and to understand how institutional design shapes young people’s and adults’ education and labour-market outcomes. She has contributed to policy-relevant evaluations for UK government departments, with findings intended to inform policy debates in education and skills, and received her PhD in Economics from the University of Essex.
