Hannes is a senior lecturer in the politics department of the University of Liverpool. He works primarily on Middle East political economy. He is the author of Citizen Hariri: Lebanon’s Neoliberal Reconstruction and has published in outlets such as Globalizations, International Relations, and Third World Quarterly. He has previously worked at SOAS, Georgetown University, King’s College London, and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
