About me

Oliver Seager is a pre-doctoral research assistant to Professor Rocco Macchiavello of the Managerial Economics and Strategy Faculty Research Group. Oliver's role comprises both administrative and research functions, across various projects relating to industrial organisation. Largely, these projects relate to firm dynamics in the supply chains of primary goods, but also encompass topics such as labour outcomes from unionisation, collusive behaviour in energy markets, management practices in manufacturing, the role of gender in agriculture, and the economic impact of large-scale organised crime.

Oliver completed a BSc in Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London in 2020, and an MSc in Economics at LSE in 2022. Prior to joining the Department of Management, he worked as a research assistant to myriad LSE PhD students, affiliated variously with the Centre for Macroeconomics, Centre for Economic Performance, and STICERD. This work covered a broad range of topics, including monetary policy, innovation economics, and international trade.
