About me

Dr SangJune Kim is a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He studies how policy evaluation using nationally representative and big data can drive more effective and equitable health systems, and how evidence translates into action through accountable, responsive governance.

His work explores the interplay between policy incentives and healthcare workers’ intrinsic motivation, and the design of sustainable health systems in underserved regions. He is committed to health reforms that are evidence-informed, democratically governed, and locally accountable.

Dr Kim is also passionate about making official development assistance (ODA) more efficient, equitable, and impactful in improving people’s lives. He has been actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health-related ODA projects, and engages with both field-based research and policy advising.

He is a co-founder and committee member of both the Korean Global Health Forum and the Health Policy Research Consortium, platforms that foster interdisciplinary collaboration in global and domestic health policy.
