Open Opportunity: Research Officer in Economic Evaluation
LSE Health is recruiting a Research Officer in Economic Evaluation to join its AI and Digital Unit, working on the Horizon Europe-funded EuroHeartPath project.
EuroHeartPath is a major European initiative bringing together 38 partners from academia, healthcare, industry and patient organisations, with the shared goal of transforming cardiovascular care pathways and reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease across Europe. LSE Health leads the health economics, ethics and policy work package within the consortium.

Research Officer in Economic Evaluation
This is a full-time, open-ended post with three years of funding, with a salary of £43,277–£51,714 pa (inclusive of London allowance, with potential to progress to £55,497 pa). The Research Officer will evaluate the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of innovative technologies — including AI-driven diagnostics, digital health tools, point-of-care testing, and robotic imaging — and contribute to policy roadmaps for their adoption across Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing economic evaluations embedded in clinical studies
- Modelling resource use and analysing care pathway costs across European health systems
- Contributing to policy roadmaps and regulatory guidance for digital health technologies
- Writing scholarly manuscripts and policy briefs for scientific and non-scientific audiences
Applicants should hold a PhD in Health Economics, Health Services Research, Health Policy, or a closely related discipline, and have experience in economic evaluation methods including modelling and simulation techniques.
