Open Opportunity: Research Officer in African Health Economics and Diagnostics
LSE Health is growing the team behind the Wellcome Trust-funded African Health, Economics and Diagnostics (AHEaD) project, led by Dr Lesong Conteh, with openings for a Research Officer.
The project generates robust economic evidence on the health and economic benefits of improved access to point-of-care diagnostics (POCTs) across Africa, working with partners in Ethiopia, Senegal, Lesotho, and beyond.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a growing, multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of health economics, diagnostics policy, and global health.
Research Officer in African Health Economics and Diagnostics
This is a full-time, fixed-term post for three years, with a salary of £43,277–£51,714 pa (inclusive of London allowance). The Research Officer will lead and co-author research on the economics and equity impacts of point-of-care diagnostics, design and conduct economic evaluations, and coordinate research activities across multi-country partner sites. Applicants should hold a PhD in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, Development Economics, or a closely related discipline, and have extensive experience in economic evaluation methods.
