Congratulations to Nicola Lacey, School Professor of Law, Gender and Social Policy, who has won Law Teacher of the Year. Professor Lacey was given the presitigious award by Oxford University Press, after being shortlisted earlier this year. She was thrilled to receive it:

"Winning the Law Teacher of the Year Award 2025 is honestly the nicest thing ever to happen to me during my very fortunate career.  At the award event last week, it was humbling to hear of the fantastic work of the other shortlisted candidates, and I’m so grateful to them, and to the judges, for their generosity.  But above all, my warmest thanks to my colleagues and students at LSE.  Working here and teaching our wonderful students is a joy and privilege, and the generosity of the colleagues and students who nominated me and worked so hard to make the judges’ visit to us a success has been quite overwhelming. Winning such things is a team effort and I couldn’t be happier to be able to bring the award to Team LSE Law School!"
