On Thursday 26 November Professor Andrew Murray delivered the sixth Annual TMC Asser Lecture at the Asser Institute in the Hague. The Asser Lecture is the Institute’s flagship event and asks lecturers to respond to ‘the condition of society’. Due to the current pandemic the lecture was delivered online and Professor Murray was joined by a virtual audience of over 500 to hear his talk ‘Almost Human: Law and Human Agency in the Time of Artificial Intelligence’. The lecture sparked considerable media and public interest and Professor Murray was featured in leading Dutch Newspaper NRC Handelsblad and on the online legal blog Opinio Juris.
