Cumberland Lodge

The weekend long trip serves as an opportunity for the students to escape London and attend a number of seminars and group activities in the beautiful setting of a 17th Century, Grade II listed country house.

International Development students have the opportunity to attend a workshop at Cumberland Lodge. There are three workshops: one on the theme of health and international developmnet, another in humanitarianism and a third with a changing theme each year.

About Cumberland Lodge

The St Catherine's Foundation, Cumberland Lodge, Windsor Great Park, was set up in order to provide a relaxed and quiet atmosphere where students and teachers could meet in order to discuss matters of interest to them. It is hoped that students who attend will gain ideas and inspiration from listening to seminars given by invited speakers and from the debate that follows.

Cumberland Lodge is a spacious 17th century house set in superb grounds. Student accommodation is in twin-bedded rooms. There are facilities there for outdoor and indoor sports and rooms for parties/discos, etc. There will be seminars given by guest speakers during the workshops, but there is also time to relax and enjoy the house and grounds.

Places are limited so early booking is advisable. You will receive email notification when booking opens.

Sometimes we focus so much on our lectures and reading lists that we forget to make time to get to know the other students in our programme... The trip was a great way to make new friends and spend more time with our classmates.
