Charles Dunst is an Associate of LSE IDEAS and a journalist who has written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and BBC News, among other outlets. He was previously based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and has reported from that country, Vietnam, and Myanmar. He writes about Southeast Asian politics and geopolitics, US foreign policy, and LGBTQ issues. He holds a bachelor’s with honours from Hamilton College and is pursuing a master’s in International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
