
About
Li-Huei Liu is a PhD candidate in Health Policy and Health Economics in the Department of Health Policy. Her PhD research is focused on frailty, health digitalisation, and depression among older people. She aims to explore how digital health technologies support frail older people in managing depression and provide policy implications for integrating digital engagement into frailty care plans.
Li-Huei’s other research interests include long-term care policy, health literacy, and health equity. Her master’s dissertation examined the relationship between health literacy, frailty, and quality of life among older people in Taiwan. She has collaborated with experts in Taiwan on two studies focused on developing health equity indicators. She is eager to pursue further collaborative opportunities in these fields across different regions.
Li-Huei received her BA degree in Public Administration from National Chengchi University (NCCU) and her MSc degree in Health Policy and Management from National Taiwan University (NTU). Prior to her PhD in LSE, she worked as an assistant researcher in the Department of Long-term Care at Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare. After that, she joined research teams at NTU and NCCU, while also remotely participating in research projects of the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) in LSE. She is now affiliated with Care Policy and Evaluation Centre at LSE and NIHR Policy Research Unit in Healthy Ageing LSE team.
