LSE at London Climate Action Week 2026

Monday 8 June 2026

Departments, institutes and research centres across LSE are collaborating to deliver the most ambitious programme yet for London Climate Action Week 2026 (20-28 June 2026).

The week-long series of events will include public lectures, a book launch, an art exhibition, workshops, policy roundtables and the LCAW flagship biodiversity day in collaboration with Kew, DEfRA and the CBD.

The Global School of Sustainability at LSE is working with contributing partners across LSE and beyond to coordinate action for engagement and impact, including the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, the TPI Centre, CETEx, LSE Generate, as well as academic departments across LSE.

In the run up to LCAW 2026 programme this year, LSE will also play host to the Global School of Sustainability Forum 2026: key challenges and solution for a sustainable future (18-19 June), and the LSE Festival 2026: how to save the planet (15-20 June).

London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is the largest city-wide climate week in Europe and one of the world's largest independent climate change events. Its mission is to harness the unique power of London for global and local climate action. It mobilises London’s unparalleled ecosystem of climate and non-climate organisations to accelerate global climate action and supports action in London to ensure it acts as a global climate leader.

Professor Jonathan Pershing, Dean of the Global School of Sustainability, said of the programme: “Every year, LSE works with London Climate Action Week to bring together leaders, experts and community representatives to tackle climate issues, share our knowledge and develop practical solutions both within their sectors and across the wider real economy. This year, we are coming together as a community across LSE to provide an even stronger platform for collaboration and research acceleration and impact.”
