Wei is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics. His research focuses on the interaction between education and macroeconomy, and how such interaction varies across different stages of development.
He is also working on the impacts of education expansion on labour market development, economic growth in developing countries, and the role of educational inequality in explaining productivity growth.
Wei holds an MSc in Economics from the LSE, an MA in International and Development Economics from the ANU, and a BSc in Financial Engineering from the SWUFE.
