Wei is a PhD student in the Department of Economics. His research interests are the interaction between inequality and growth, and how such interaction varies across different stages of development. His current work focuses on the growth model with educational inequality and the role of inequality in explaining the Middle-Income Trap.
He holds an MSc in Economics from the LSE, an MA in International and Development Economics from the ANU, and a BSc in Financial Engineering from the SWUFE
