About me

Wanying is a PhD candidate at the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) and the Department of Health Policy at LSE. She is funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research Studentship. Her doctoral research focuses on the supply of social care in the UK, using econometric methods and policy evaluation techniques to examine issues related to informal care, service provision, workforce, and healthcare interactions. Wanying holds an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) from the LSE and a BSc in Economics from Xiamen University, China. She was awarded the Brian Abel-Smith Prize for Best Dissertation in the MSc International Health Policy (Health Economics) programme in 2021–22.
