LSE Cities joins Bloomberg CityLab in Madrid, Spain, 27-29 April 2026

LSE Cities is thrilled to join Bloomberg Philanthropies and The Aspen Institute in Madrid for Bloomberg CityLab 2026.

Now in its twelfth edition, the preeminent global cities summit will bring together more than 1,000 leading policymakers, innovators, creatives, and thinkers to delve into the urgent challenges and opportunities cities face, where progress is being made, and the solutions that will shape their future — and the world.

LSE Cities Director Ricky Burdett along with Andrea Römmele from the Hertie School will be sharing highlights from the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative; a pioneering programme to help mayors and their teams across Europe tackle urban challenges, drive progress, and lead – delivering tangible results for residents in new ways.

Urban95 Academy’s Katie Beck is also presenting at the Mayors Innovation Studio where she’ll be engaging participants in the principles of child-friendly urban design.
