LSE Cities welcomes Michael Kimmelman as a Visiting Senior Fellow

LSE Cities is delighted to welcome Michael Kimmelman as a Visiting Senior Fellow.
Michael is the longtime architecture critic at The New York Times and a leading voice on urban and social affairs, with extensive writing on housing, public space, climate, infrastructure and global migration. He is the founder and editor-at-large of Headway, an award-winning journalistic initiative focused on large-scale global challenges, and teaches at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
A two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and author of The Accidental Masterpiece and The Intimate City, Michael brings a wealth of global perspective and insight, and we are thrilled to have him join LSE Cities until April 2026.
