On February 2, 2019, Saturday Dulwich Courses and Careers Convention opened in the early morning at Dulwich College, a famous 400-year-old London school. This annual event invited major universities and companies from all over UK to introduce their upcoming undergraduate programs and enrollment plans as well as career development opportunities for young people who just finished their GCSE. LSE CIBL did not only present some brochures and leaflets about scholarship opportunities, CIBL’s business Mandarin courses, but also about international undergraduate programs of Tsinghua University.
The 2019 Convention also invited LSE CIBL to run a workshop on Confucius Institute Scholarships (CIS) to help pupils, particularly those who are learning GCSE Mandarin and their parents learn about the scholarship opportunities. In 2018 four excellent Year-13 pupils of Dulwich College were granted CIS and went to Beijing University, Fu Dan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University to learn Mandarin. This has set a record at Dulwich College.
Two teachers of CIBL, Mr. Dun Liao and Ms. Meiyan Zhao attended the Convention on Saturday. Mr. Liao gave the CIS presentation. CIBL teachers received a good number of pupils and parents throughout the event. CIBL has well increased the publicity of CIBL, CIS scholarships and THU, and more importantly, CIBL’s efforts considerably helped boost appeal of Mandarin courses by Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department of Dulwich College. After the Convention, CIBL received highly positive feedback from both the event sponsor and MFL Head of Dulwich.
2019年2月2日，星期六清晨有着四百年悠久历史的德威中学的“2019德威职业机会与大学课程展”盛大开幕。这个一年一度的展会邀请了全英主流大学和知名企业参展介绍当年的招生计划、课程设置以及企业为年轻人提供的职业发展与锻炼机会，不仅面向德威本校的高年级学生和家长，而且对整个德威地区各公立及非公立学校的学生和家长开放。
德威中学是伦敦商务孔子学院合作共建的孔子课堂，每年德威都邀请伦敦商务孔子学院（CIBL）参展 。在此次课程展上，CIBL准备了丰富的材料，不仅帮助学生和家长们了解孔子学院奖学金项目、 CIBL的各种成人商务汉语培训项目，而且还向学生和家长们热情地介绍了清华大学的国际本科生项目。
此次课程展上，主办方还特意为CIBL安排了关于“孔子学院奖学金” 的专题讲座，让正在学习GCSE汉语课程的以及其它感兴趣的学生和家长全面了解孔子学院奖学金的学习机会。2018年，德威中学13年级的学生中有四名汉语成绩优秀的学生荣获了孔子学院奖学金，赴北京大学、复旦大学以及上海交大研修汉语，刷新了的德威学生赴华留学的新纪录。
此次，CIBL由廖盾和赵梅艳两位老师代表参展，廖盾老师做了“孔院奖学金”讲座。两位老师耐心细致地解答了学生和家长们的各种问题。伦敦商务孔院的参展，不但成功地扩大了孔子学院和孔子学院奖学金以及清华大学在当地的知名度。而且很好地帮助德威汉语部提升了汉语课程的影响力。CIBL此次会展中的积极表现收到了主办方和德威外语部的一致感谢和好评。
