On 19 February 2019, CIBL held the Chinese Lantern Festival celebration on the second floor of the British Library. CIBL held Business Chinese language and culture courses regularly and have made outstanding contributions to helping London business people learn Chinese language and understand Chinese culture. Ingeniously arranged and orderly organised, this event was part of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations. CIBL staff carefully orchestrated different booths with Chinese cultural characteristics, including Chinese paper-cuts, traditional costumes, zodiac dolls, handmade Chinese knots, and Lantern Festival lanterns.
The event coincided with the mid-term holiday of primary school students in the UK, attracting a lot of parents and children to visit. The foreign friends who came to the event were in a constant stream and expressed their amazement at the charm of Chinese culture. In the company of books and laughter, the Lantern Festival celebration was successfully completed, and many visitors expressed the hope that they would participate in more Chinese cultural activities organised by CIBL in the future.
2月19日, 中国元宵节当天下午两点至五点，LSE伦敦商务孔院(Confucius Institute for Business London, 以下简称CIBL）在大英图书馆二层举办了中国元宵节庆祝活动。LSE CIBL定期举办语言文化课程和文化交流活动，为帮助伦敦商务人士学习汉语和了解中国文化做出了卓越贡献。本次活动是中国农历新年系列庆祝活动的一部分，CIBL的工作人员们精心布置了具有中国文化特色的不同展台，包括中国剪纸、传统服饰、生肖玩偶、手工中国结、元宵宫灯等。
活动恰逢英国小学生期中假期，吸引了非常多的家长和小朋友来参观体验。整个会场布置巧妙，秩序井然，来参加活动的外国友人络绎不绝，纷纷对中国文化的魅力表示惊叹。在书香和笑语的陪伴中，元宵节庆祝活动圆满完成，许多参观者意犹未尽，表示希望未来能够参加更多由CIBL举办的中国文化活动。
