On the occasion of the Chinese New Year of the Rooster, CIBL supported and helped with the New Year Celebration events at HSBC Headquarters at Canary Wharf.
Employees at HSBC celebrated the New Year with a range of activities including Chinese cultural talks, tasters classes, Chinese calligraphy, taichi, folk dancing, musical recitals performed on traditional Chinese instruments, lion dances, Chinese culture and language course information stalls and a Chinese traditional song performed by local school children. CIBL demonstrated China's traditional culture from all angles and the series of activities provided helped HSBC employees appreciate and gain a greater understanding of Chinese culture. Through the success of these celebrations, the links between CIBL and HSBC were greatly strengthened. The Chairman of HSBC, Douglas Flint, attended most of the activities in person and also hosted most of the key events.
在中国农历新年之际，CIBL与汇丰银行中国事务部以及中国协会在汇丰银行总部等地先后举行了两场新年庆祝活动。2017年1月30日，伦敦商务孔子学院教工和汇丰银行员工一起欢度了充满激情和希望的新年伊始。在汇丰总部大厦，春节庆祝活动荟萃了中国传统文化表演，有画龙点睛舞龙、太极表演、古筝弹奏、民族舞，还有英国小学生带来的中国歌曲“茉莉花”，中国书法、中国绘画、中文名字翻译等。
伦敦商务孔子学院的老师们从各个角度展示了中国的传统文化，与汇丰银行的员工一同庆祝农历鸡年。这次系列活动既让汇丰银行的员工们领略了中国文化的魅力，也为伦敦商务孔子学院和汇丰银行结下了良好的友谊。
