On 11 February, 2017, the China Development Forum was successfully held in the New Academic Building, LSE. The forum was run by the China Development Society and co-sponsored by the Confucius Institute for Business, London (CIBL), LSE and the LSE.
The Forum focussed on China Model and included topics such as Brexit, Trump and China’s Trade, Household Registration Reform and China in Africa: a Win-win Relationship? And featured twenty five distinguished scholars and experts.The forum featured keynote speakers including Adair Lord Turner, Prof. Danny Quah, Prof. Jin Keyu, Prof. Athar Hussain and Mr. Stephen Perry and was attended by a large audience of over 500 LSE students, graduates, scholars, academics and interested people from London.
The Chinese Development Forum was a great success and provided a platform for world-renowned scholars to bring awareness about current developments in modern China to an eager audience. It is also an excellent demonstration of the way CIBL can work with organisations to assist in delivering truly exceptional events.
