On 11 August 2016 an orchestral performance was jointly held at Saint John’s Smith Square by the Tsinghua University (THU) Symphony Orchestra and CIBL. The event began at 17:30 where VIP guests where welcomed to the reception by Prof SHI Zongkai, Vice Chairperson of University Council, Mr WANG Yongli, Minister Councillor at the Chinese Embassy, education section, Dr BING Hao, Vice director of Students' Affairs Office, Mr ZHANG Jian, Assistant Dean for Global Partnerships, International Office. After enjoying the chance to network with various members of the London business community the guests moved upstairs to watch the performance.
This event was an excellent demonstration of the spirit of modern Chinese students. By performing songs composed by Chinese and western composers in the heart of London the chance the 500 audience members to better understand modern China and the Chinese people. The event received tremendous feedback and CIBL is proud to have been able to facilitate this wonderful event.
2016年8月11日晚，清华大学管弦乐团在伦敦商务孔子学院的协助下在伦敦圣约翰史密斯广场举行了一场精彩 的管弦乐演出。当天下午17：30，史宗凯教授，校委会成员Vice，中国大使馆教育部委员王永利先生，BingHao博士，学生事务办公室主任Vice，以及国际处副主任张剑先生为贵宾们举行了招待会。受邀嘉宾们在招待会上进行了亲切的交谈之后，步入演出大厅欣赏表演。
此次演出通过演奏中西方经典曲目，在伦敦市中心，向五百余名观众展现了中国当代大学生的精神面貌，深化了人们对于中国的认识和了解。演出得到了极大的反响，伦敦商务孔子学院也为能够承办这个优秀的活动而自豪。
