Cañada Blanch-UV LSE Prize

A partnership between Fundación Cañada-Blanch and
University of Valencia in Spain

The Cañada Blanch Centre hosts an outstanding graduate from the University of Valencia. The Cañada Blanch LSE awardee is selected by the University of Valencia and the Fundación Cañada Blanch among the best graduates of the University. The awardee spends three months at the Centre and is encouraged to attend public events at the LSE and establish links with LSE researchers.

Roser Almenar

Roser Almenar Rodríguez

Roser Almenar Rodríguez has a LLB in Law in a High performance group by the University of Valencia (UVEG), and a LLM in International Law by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She has been an intern at the Cabinet of the State Secretary for the European Union, at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. Her research work focuses on topics dealing with Space Law and Policy, the impact of technological advances in the protection of human rights, and general Public International Law. During her stay at the LSE, she will focus on developing her research project on the aftermath of satellite-obtained images on the individuals' right to data protection.

 

Maria Carro

María Carro Pitarch

María studied a double degree in Law + Business Management and Administration at the Universitat de València. She has also studied a Master’s degree in European Legal Studies (LLM) at the renowned College of Europe (Belgium) and she is currently undertaking her Ph.D. studies International Law at the Universitat de València. The research project that she is developing at LSE as part of her Ph.D. focuses on the protection of marine biological biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction.


 

Pau Sendra

Pau Sendra Pons 

Pau is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Corporate Finance of the University of Valencia. He graduated in International Business and holds a Master in Corporate Finance from this institution, both with an extraordinary prize upon graduation.

His research focuses on new frontiers in entrepreneurial fundraising, specially crowdfunding, as well as entrepreneurship and gender. He has published articles in international journals including European Research on Management and Business Economics, Service Business and Quality and Quantity. He has been awarded numerous research awards, including the best research from a young researcher by the European Academy of Management and Business Economics or the Fundación Cañada Blanch - London School of Economics research award. Additionally, he serves as Innovation Deputy at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia as well as the Scientific Board of RESOCEM – Research Society on Entrepreneurial Motivation.
