About me

Research Topic: My research concerns the role of creativity in the technology start-up ecosystem in Taipei, Taiwan. In this study I explore the use and understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, the individual experience of personhood, and guiding ethos among entrepreneurs. My research questions extend to ongoing transformations in global capitalism, the public good and patterns of governance in Taiwan.

Laura is American and serves as a student representative (SSLC Rep) with the Anthropology Department. She convenes the LSE China Reading Group along with a group of research fellows and doctoral students across disciplines and institutions.
