Jed was an alumnus in Executive Global MSc Management, 2013-2015.
Originally from the USA, Jed studied for his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the programme at LSE, Jed spent four years as an Officer in the United States Navy which provided him with a wealth of international and leadership experience. Following graduation Jed spent time living in Poland, undertook work as a Strategy Consultant back in the US and most recently had begun a role in the Cloud Marketing team at Microsoft.
Jed was a much valued member of the Executive Global MSc Management community and Director of the programme, Dr Connson Locke, said:
“Jed was a student who stood out from the crowd. He combined the discipline of his military background with a sharp intellect and strong motivation to learn and was an engaged and high performing student throughout the programme. Indeed, Jed is one of the few students who won both of the prizes that we give out at graduation: best dissertation and top performer in his class. His dissertation is one of the best pieces of qualitative research I have seen by an MSc student, and I still share it with my students as an example to emulate. The fact that he was able to make the transition from the military to industry, landing a job at Microsoft, is testament to his talent and ability. Jed was an exceptional student, alumnus, and human being. He will be sorely missed.”
Sadly Jed passed away in July 2019 in a vehicle accident in California. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
