Based in the GenDen at the heart of campus, LSE Generate is more than just a co-
working space. It’s the School’s award-winning home for entrepreneurship - a thriving hub for innovation, creativity, and social impact.
Generate provides an inclusive, all-sector, year-round offering hub for entrepreneurship, supporting LSE students and alumni from pre-ideation cluelessness to scale and (eventual) exit parties. Through accelerator programmes, mentorship, online start-up schools, the brand-new 2026 Fellowship Programme, retreats, or founder circles, LSE Generate is creating a community where innovators are educated and empowered to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges - with curiosity, creativity, and heart.
Behind the neon lights
Alumni who wander into the GenDen are often surprised to discover the full range of LSE Generate’s activities. Although LSE has always been home to entrepreneurial minds (currently boasting a whole 26 unicorns!), structured support for founders only began in full force in 2018. Before then, many entrepreneurial graduates found themselves turning left towards government or right towards the City, with far fewer pathways to build ventures of their own.
Seven years later, LSE now stands out as a world leader in for-purpose, for-profit entrepreneurship. Our over 19,000 active alumni founders are driving innovation across sectors and continents, and through 22 international chapters, Generate connects them, alongside intrapreneurs, investors, and ecosystem partners, to collaborate and innovate for the betterment of society.
With over 19,000 alumni founders, international chapters, and communities focused on inclusion at every stage and every age, we are creating one of the world’s most collaborative mission-driven entrepreneurship ecosystems. If you’re ready to explore what’s possible, our doors are open and we can’t wait to meet you!

Entrepreneurship at any age
It’s never too late to become an entrepreneur—and never too late to get support. LSE Generate places no cap on how long after graduation alumni can get involved, and we’ve recently launched a new community cluster specifically for alumni aged 60 and over. Whether you’re starting a business, joining a startup board, exploring angel investing, or looking to upskill in AI, the cluster offers tailored support to help you take the next step with confidence.
This cluster joins our existing groups for women founders, race equity, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and disability inclusion, ensuring that every founder, regardless of background or stage, has the support to thrive.
Inspiring the next generation
At the other end of the scale, LSE Generate also runs a term-time Schools Programme for 8–18-year-olds with Summer Innovation Bootcamp weeks that aim to embed the entrepreneurial mindset early on. We invite alumni to bring the spirit of innovation into their families and communities—whether through their children, grandchildren, or local schools.
This programme is only possible thanks to the support of OakNorth (founded by LSE alumni Rishi Khosla and Joel Perlman) who have partnered with LSE Generate since 2020.
Curious? Come say hello
