LSE has once again seen improvements across its National Student Survey (NSS) results, increasing its scores in nine out of ten core measures, including all education-related categories. The positive 2025 data follow the School’s increases in satisfaction levels reported in last year's survey.

The NSS is an independent survey that gathers final year undergraduate students' opinions on the quality of their course and their experience during their studies. Achievements in this year’s survey include LSE remaining as the top Russell Group university nationally in Organisation and Management and moving up to second for Academic Support.

The School has also received the highest ratings amongst London Russell Group institutions in five central education categories including, Teaching on my Course,  Assessment and Feedback and Learning Resources.

Commenting on the National Student Survey, Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Education, Professor Emma McCoy, said:

“These are excellent results, which pay tribute to LSE colleagues across all departments and divisions who dedicate themselves to providing an outstanding student experience. To be the highest-ranking London Russell Group institution across the majority of student experience measures for the second year running shows we are on the right path.

“We will continue to build on this success and use the results to make further improvements, for example in vital areas such as supporting and promoting mental health and wellbeing."

These results follow a series of good news stories around LSE and external rankings. In the autumn, LSE was placed as the top university in the UK and named as the ‘University of the Year 2025’ by the Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide.
